Utility Locates & Preparation
Digging or excavating near buried infrastructure can be extremely dangerous. All required “publicly supplied” utility locates are submitted to “Ontario one call” and confirmed by Post Hole Pro before excavation begins.
As the property owner, it is your responsibility to arrange for the marking of “privately” owned underground utilities at your excavation site if they exist. This includes infrastructure such as gas lines extending from your residence to outdoor appliances, electrical connections to external structures, sewer systems and other private utilities. To obtain private locates or get more information regarding homeowner responsibilities, visit Ontario one call’s online portal at https://ontarioonecall.ca/homeowners/. As of 2025, Ontario One Call will only be accepting online requests.
Before We Arrive!
We ask that homeowners clear all work areas and entrances prior to our arrival to ensure accessibility for our equipment. This includes removing items such as flower pots, garden ornaments, patio sets or any obstructions along the fence lines or in the general work area.
Materials
New Structure Builds:
We handle the procurement and delivery of all materials necessary for your new fence or deck project. For larger projects, we coordinate delivery to your home prior to installation to ensure all materials are on hand. This approach allows us to maintain efficiency and adhere to project timelines. For fence or deck repair projects, our crews arrive equipped with materials, ensuring a seamless and timely installation process.
Fence & Deck Post Installations:
If you are having fence posts or deck footings installed by Post Hole Pro, you will be responsible for acquiring all the necessary materials required for your installation project.
Deposits
New Fence & Deck Installation Deposit
A 50% deposit to cover material costs will be required upon booking your new fence or deck project. The remaining 50% will be due for payment in full upon job completion.
Fence & Deck Repairs Deposit
To ensure we can allocate the necessary time and resources to your project, we require a $375.00(+HST) deposit upon booking. This deposit confirms your reservation and allows us to allocate the necessary time and resources for your project.
Post Hole Digging Deposit
To ensure your post hole digging appointment is secured, a $375.00(+HST) deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit confirms your reservation and allows us to allocate the necessary time and resources for your project.
Refunds: You will be eligible for a refund of this deposit if you cancel at least 15 business days prior to the project start date. Cancellations made within 15 business days of the start date will result in the forfeiture of the deposit to cover the lost scheduling time reserved for your project.
